Anyone else having issues with their S7 Edge getting uncomfortably hot when charging?

Yes, I'm using the charging adapter that came with the phone, not an aftermarket one.

Twice recently, when I picked up my phone in the morning, there was a message that it was changing modes (I forget the actual wording) due to overheating.

The news only speaks of the batteries in the Note 7, not the S7....Or have I missed something?

Mine gets warm while using a "fast charger" like the adaptive charger it comes with.

I don't worry too much about it, a lot of my Samsungs have done this in the past depending on what charger I use. Still, never had trouble out of them.

Thanks. This is the first non-iPhone I've had in several years. I wasn't real worried until it started going into some kind of slow down mode due to the temp, and it wasn't even being used.

The phones do protect themselves from over heating like an Iphone. It shows a little message.

Iv had every other galaxy 1-3-5-7 and have never had one display the message. I normally get 2 years out of the phones in a good case as well because Im a pretty active person
