Rooting s6 active

Can anyone educate me on rooting and running pure Android on my s6 active. My phone is OK, but it is beginning to have problems.it is starting to freeze up alot to the point that I have to restart the phone a couple of times a day. I don't have alot of apps, or much music. All of my photos are stored in Google drive so they don't take up space either.

I am pretty ignorant of the whole rooting process, but I am hoping that removing all of the Samsung crap and running pure Android will make my phone perform better
