Roku 3 keeps cutting out

I have a Roku 3 hooked up to our Vizio in our living room. Lately it cuts out all the time in both picture and audio(just flashes black constantly). Only way to fix it seems to be to unhook the connections to Roku for a bit, reconnect and then restart.

However, it only now will fix the issue for a few hours, then back to breaking out again. Anyone else have similar issues? Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks!

buy a new one or a chromecast.

these are throwaway devices.

eta or call roku and i'm 99% sure they'll just send you a new one for free.

Network, A/V, or both? Sounds like you should be checking the A/V (HDMI) cable.
Try a different cable and if it still does it contact Roku or just move on.

Call them and they will probably replace it.

Hear this a lot from people who have them

My apple TV and Fire Stick operate flawlessly. Maybe go one of those routes.

Even if we have had this for over 2 years?

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. Of course...after posting this thread my ROKU is behaving just fine now.

2 years old? Eh, just call them and ask.

Worst case scenario is you buy a new one. At least they are cheap.

Does Amazon Fire box have option to plug headphones into the remote? Or to connect to wireless headphones via Bluetooth? Since my husband and I have opposite schedules....this feature is a huge plus for us.

It's never done that...it just starts getting "jumpy"

The content will play but keeping blacking out for a few seconds. Sometimes the picture and sound both go out for a second, sometimes just the sound.
