Remote viewing of home security cameras

I just installed the Swann 5 megapixel security camera system. Looks great while viewing from my tv. When I stream from my phone(main reason I put the cameras up), the live playback is basically a screenshot refreshed every 2 seconds. I realize that 5 MP will draw a lot of bandwidth, so I reduced the quality to less than HD and the playback is still choppy. After reading reviews, it looks like this is a common complaint with Swann.
I'm going to return the cameras and DVR, and will leave the cables since I've already routed them in the attic and down to my office. Any good suggestions for new home cameras that allow for great remote viewing while away from home?

I have two brands that have worked well. I have wired security cameras with a dvr and a wireless (but plug for power) 360° camera that records to sd card by a company called EZVIZ. They work great and easily accessible through the internet.
Secondly, I have an Arlo system from Netgear. Works fine, wireless and battery powered. Battery life depends on the setting. One camera on my front door doesn't get too much use comparatively and I've changed the batteries once in a little over a year.

I have IP cameras with Blue Iris on my PC and phone. Very happy with the setup. Playback and live streaming on my phone works well.

I'd go for the wireless one, Canary cameras. Remote viewing is supported + the air and temperature monitoring feature. I just feel like it will need improvement on the notification part as it sometimes sends false notifs. As an owner, I think it's good but it's sensor didn't get stellar review
