Recommendations for a new Android smartphone?

My wife is ready to fire her Galaxy S5. I'm looking for ideas for a new phone for her for Christmas. She wants an Android, but wants nothing to do with Samsung after all the bugs and glitches she has had with this phone. AT&T carrier.
Wants:
1) good camera
2) battery life and/or ability to quick charge or easily change out the battery
3) around same size as her S5 and my LG G3
4) at least 32 gb of storage or expandable via SD card
5) good screen quality (quad HD not needed by any means)
She mostly uses it for texting, surfing the web, watching youtube, checking email, and social media apps.
Thanks in advance!

The phone that checks all your "wants" boxes would be the Nexus 5X; just be sure to get the 32GB version. There's a discount of $50 going on in the Google Store for it. If she doesn't mind a bigger phone (and is willing to pay a bit more) then the Nexus 6P is a no-brainer. It's better than the 5X in every way, if size is not an issue.

6P is the best phone on the market currently.

My LG G4 was a steaming pile of garbage.
My Note 5 is so much better of a phone.
It's not even close.

Switch to Verizon and get the Droid turbo. Better service and better phone it's a win win situation.

Easily Nexus 5X or 6P. No other choice for Android phones in my mind.

Nexus 5X.
If you want a huge phone with better specs, the Nexus 6P.

I'm still really happy with my Nexus 6,and it can be had for about $300.

I have the Asus Zenfone 2 and like it. It doesn't have a removable battery,, but does have quick charging. It was about $300 on Amazon back in May when it was released.

Can you add the Nexus 6P to an existing at&t account? I have an old htc one, thinking about upgrading

For AT&T, Moto X Pure Edition, hands down. If Verizon, Droid Turbo 2 or for a better deal on last years beast, the original Turbo.

Thanks, everyone, for the replies. I sent her the YouTube links to MKBHD's reviews of the Nexus 5x and 6p, LG G4, and the Moto X Pure. She seems to be leaning towards the G4, mostly for the camera.
When it's time for a new phone for me, I research the hell out of them. But in between I stay away because I don't want to get envious of any new phones and end up buying something I don't really need. Haha I knew this board would be on top of the latest Android phones, so thanks for the help.
And FWIW, she really liked the Nexus 6p but thought it would be too big for what she wanted.

Why not get a G3? You can get a brand new one very cheap, now that the G4 and V10 are out. I don't see where the G4 is a huge upgrade over the G3*.
If cost is no issue, the G4 is very close to the same size as the G3.
*Note that if you have T-Mobile, make sure that your phone can receive the band 12 700 mhz frequency that T-Mobile is rolling out. The G4 can, but the G3 cannot.
ETA: You can get a brand new G3 through eBay for a little over 200 bucks. That's a great deal, and it will be getting upgraded to Marshmallow, soon...
