Anyone have these? I found them on Craigslist for $225, which I think is a steal considering they go for $199 a piece. But, I'd like to get some assurance that I'm going to be happy with them.

Also I have the Onkyo NR636 at 95 watts per channel, so wanted to see if that would be enough to push them.

Your receiver should be able to push them. It's not really that good of a deal though. For $50 more you can get a pair direct from Polk with a factory warranty and free shipping. LINK

Yeah, I figured I could prolly swing the pair for $175 or so for that reason, but the warranty is probably worth the extra money.

I bought the Moniitor 60s off newegg for $125/each. I have no idea what the difference is between the monitor series and the tsi's.

The Monitor series is the older version of the TSi. Basically the same speaker with minor aesthetic and crossover changes.

How do you like them? Anything you don't like about them?

How would u rate these against Klipsch reference bookshelf speakers? I know it's different, but I'm considering going that route instead of a floor standing speaker

For $250 total, they're hard to beat. I run them in my tv room with a Dayton audio sub that was about $125 as well. It's not audiophile stuff, but it's perfect for what I wanted.

I have Polk towers for fronts, matching dipole surrounds and matching center channel from the early 2000s and they still are pretty awesome. I really want to upgrade my speakers having upgraded my receiver a couple times but can't justify the 5 to $7k to do a new speaker setup with these still being pretty bullet proof.

My warranty has come and gone a long time ago and I have never had a hiccup out of a single Polk speaker I have owned. That said, I haven't bought one in 12 years either, they might make them like shite now.

As for the comparison between Pok and Klipsch? I always like Polk much better overall. I find the horn tweeter really fatiguing after an hour or so and they are really bright for music. The Polk just seems much warmer and balanced.

I have some TSI300's in my living room. I got them as a gift because I thought my Optimus Mach 3's from 1992 were blown.

Once I got the Polk and realized how they sounded, we pretty much stopped using the front room stereo for music. It was just awful. The highs were fine. Absolutely no lows.

After further investigation, my Mach 3's were not blown, the woofers were just dry rotted and they were rubbing against the coil causing a bunch of distortion.

I just got some replacement woofers for them.

My receiver can quickly switch between the Mach 3's, the Polks, or play both simultaneously.

After some testing, my wife and I both agreed that with both music and tv/video, the system sounded MUCH better with ONLY the Mach 3's playing. Not with both. The Polks don't even add a sound dimension, they actually take away from the sound of my 20+ year old speakers.

fricking awful speakers. Now if the TSI400's are a completely superior product, I can't answer that, but I doubt it.

ETA:

Just FYI, I've had some Klipsch speakers (don't remember the model) with a 10" woofer and some tweeters hooked up to my receiver and they blew my Mach 3's out of the water, both highs and lows.

So far, I've been very unimpressed with Polk.

Unfortunately (or not), people's definition of "best" speakers are highly subjective... and no one's is wrong.

Some people love Kplisch. I can't imagine how. But they do, so they do. They're not wrong, they just hear differently than I do. Or maybe they "like" that particular sound.

As convenient as the internet is, the one thing it's not good for, is speaker selection.

Go listen, find what you like, then shop!

What did you expect from their lowest tier speaker? That's like driving a cobalt and saying all chevy's are shite without driving the corvette.

I have a pair of Tsi300 and they sound pretty good for the price. No they don't compare to B&W Natilus towers, but they aren't terrible. I've had mine for a while and I'm happy with them. They are paired with the Polk PSW10 sub and a B&W LCR60 center.
I'm happy with the speakers, but really want to upgrade my H&K receiver.
