People with U-Verse TV service -- "gaming the system"

Just curious if anyone else does what I do.
I have the U300 package most of the time. But when I switch to U450 (another $20), AT&T gives me a $100 VISA gift card after having U450 for 30 days. I then switch back to U300, and I get a promotional 3 free months of HBO and Cinemax and a free month of the sports package. After 3 months, I go back to U450, get another $100 gift card, then back to U300 for another 3 months of HBO/Cinemax, HBOGo, and a month of the sports package. I've been doing this for two years, and it's all done online within a few minutes each time. Once or twice they haven't had the $100 gift card offer, but I always get the freebies with U300 when I switch back.

Not yet...just started with Uverse last June. My intro rate will expire soon. Thanks for the tip!

I only have internet with them and get it half off for 12 months. When that expires, I call back and get it at half off again for another 12 months. I usually have to pay full price for one month in between. Right now I'm paying $44 (tax included) for up to 24 Mbps. They are now offering up to 45 Mbps in my area for not much more. Whenever my current years ends, I will try to do the same thing with the higher speeds. I don't have TV service at all. Just waiting on HBO to offer their streaming service.

If they didn't see this happening when they offered the program, AT&T is in trouble. Obviously you are kidding. The end game for them is for people to upgrade and forget to downgrade. So many people are either lazy and won't beat the system, or simply don't care about the money involved.
