When I type an email in Outlook there is a long delay between when I strike the key and when the text appears on the monitor.

Several people in our I.T. department have looked at it and cannot figure it out. I have a workstation with 64 GB of Ram, so that's definitely not the issue.

I've cleaned out my inbox and moved all my folders of emails to an online archive. We've tried wired keyboards, turning off animation settings in Outlook, etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

All I can think of is auto save to drafts and spell check. Have you tried restoring defaults? You would probably have to redo signatures and any other options you have set up

File>Options>Advanced check 'Disable hardware graphics acceleration'. See if that helps.

I just started having Outlook issues today.... Similar symptoms to yours. It uses up over half of my CPU..... I plan to investigate tomorrow.... I was too busy working on an HRIS conversion to dick around with Outlook today.

ETA IIRC I did get Windows Updates 2 days in a row which is strange.... Usually it's one.... But I figure if this were update related I'd already be buried in complaints.
