Opinions on the Samsung S6 vs iPhone 6

my htc one m8 gave up the ghost after I got sweat on it and the battery died. would only flash it's LED light but not turn on. nothing I did would get it to start. sucks but now I'm in the market for a new phone.
thought about a m9 but the reviews are luke warm at best. plus lifeproof only makes cases for iphones and galaxy phones. need a lifeproof case for working out with.
My only issue with my m8 was with text messages. I would often not get group texts from iphone users and if I sent or received a long text message it would be split up into smaller portions and many times be out of order. googling about it told me it was probably a SMS and MMS issue. also maybe a carrier issue. anyway does anyone with a samsung S6 with verizon have this issue with their text messages?
the text message issue is the only thing that has me contemplating buying an iphone 6

I know I'm going to get blasted for this but what is the one plus phone and why is it so special? Would it really compete with the iPhone 6 and the s6? I started down the google rabbit-hole but I figured you could short circuit my journey a bit.

Definitely, it blew my Galaxy S5 out the water. New one should come with better graphics, fingerprint scanner, 4GB of RAM. Boatloads of feature. Pretty vanilla android too. Ran on cyanogen os previously. Will now use new in house operating system called oxygen. Announces end of July for release

I feel like this thread was started to get all the Apple and Android fan boys fighting and while they are distracted you are really planning on robbing tigerdroppings.

Well if text messaging is important to you then give the 6 a shot. You have a 2 week return policy if you really don't like it.

what I'll probably end up doing if I can't get a definite answer on if the S6 splits up the messages, is get the S6 send a long message and if it splits it up seriously contemplate getting an iphone 6

S6 definitely does group messaging as does pretty much every Android phone and messaging app nowadays. Both Google's Messenger app and Hangouts does this. Need to just make sure you have that setting checked within the app. S6 is nice, I have one. I also really like the Moto X and they are having a great sale on them right now. About the long text splitting up I believe that is a carrier problem. I encounter that problem sometimes too but I have Sprint. I don't know if it is just when I receive long messages though because no one with an iPhone has ever complained about that too me after me sending them a long message.

If you don't have a preference for the OS, you honestly can't go wrong with either the Samsung S6 vs iPhone 6, although the iPhone 6 is getting to be almost a year old soon. They are both great phones with overwhelmingly positive reviews everywhere. If you like larger screens, maybe you should also look at the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. LG G4 or the iPhone 6 Plus.

Take a look at the Droid Turbo while you are there. It has great battery life and just got Lollipop 5.1. Motorola's software is the closest to stock Android too.

Cool. I like mine. What color you get? The black sapphire has a cool blue tint to it in certain lighting. I don't know how you are about cases but lifeproof just released theirs for it finally. I go no case even though it is all glass. I've had it about 3 months and haven't had any problems.
