I have a 60" LG Plasma...and I've never cleaned it. We have no kids, don't smoke and no huge dogs to put their noses on it, etc. But I know I should clean it soon or at least more often.

Looking online gives you 2,000 DIY's and I'm not sure I even like LG's suggestions.

So I come to the Tech Board here on TD to ask: How do you clean your TV's, and how often do you do so?

Lint free cloth, no liquid solvents. Just wipe it clean.

The only thing I've really used is those computer screen wipes.

I use a Swiffer when dusting, not that it attracts a lot of dust. If necessary, a dampened microfiber cloth.

Microfiber cloths and water if necessary, or screen cleaning solution. Something without alcohol. I need to mount the living room TV so it's out of reach of toddler hands. Toddler handprints are made of syrup, even if syrup was not had.

Lucky for me, mine doesn't touch the TV....but her hands get all over the glass top of the TV stand and on the sound bar.

make sure you have a soft microfiber..those do the best.

you need very little water.

I use new/unused microfiber cloths and a little water on my 70' and it works very well. You have to hit a few spots more than once. I have yet to find a cleaning solution that doesn't streak.

in my case i have to spit on the tv screen again for those tough spots.

kids think i'm completely gross but hey..when i'm done the tv looks great.

oh and make sure its off while cleaning or you'll miss 90% of the spots.
