Anybody else have one? I'm keeping mine. Love the phone. I figure if it catches fire I can sue them or something...

What are the batteries made of? Imagine those metals/chemicals melting onto your face.

Hope you have no plans of flying, or have another phone available to do so.

Funny you say that... I flew this past weekend. I just turned it off. Better safe than sorry. Good thing I was on Jetblue so I had some sort of entertainment.

I'd get rid of it and get a pixel or a nexus.

Funny thing is, they have exploded while being turned off because even when the devices is powered down, the battery is still being used

When I flew home Sunday (SW) the flight attendant included "also, if you own a Samsung Galaxy or Note, please turn it off. And then return it to the store after we land."

I want to keep it

I'm guessing carriers wont be releasing firmware/android updates for it?

I cant imagine going back to a non stylus phone. I like this phone too much. I use the stylus all the time

Pretty sure the worldwide recall will negate any lawsuits that come from exploding phones after the recall was announced. You're on your own.

This is gonna crush Samsung's reputation. The public opinion is that all Samsung's are faulty, not just the Note 7.

No you can't, and they're going to stop all support for the phone, or at some point they'll just brick all remaining note 7s that haven't been turned in to avoid lawsuits.

Exactly, and it's exactly why no one can keep it.

Same, going to be a bummer.

It's not necessarily thought to be the battery. Something about the manufacturing process putting too much pressure in the phone for every so many.

Samsung thought it was the battery initially, hence why they sent out replacement phones for round 1. Obviously it still happened, so it may have more to do with the USB-C port charging. They still can't replicate the event at Samsung to investigate.
