Google is having a cyber Monday sale tomorrow and I am thinking about dropping my S5 and Tmobile for Google Fi and a nexus.

Is the lack of external sd cards a problem for you guys?

Overall thoughts on the phone?

Which Nexus?

I and several others here have the new 6P. It's awesome. I previously had the Nexus 5, which is also a great phone except for subpar battery life.

There's discussion in this thread

I'm still rocking my n5. It's been a workhorse.

6p is the current Goat. The 5X is on sale for 299.00 if you get fi go with the 6p they will finance it for you. SD cards serve no purpose in the developed world. I got the 64 GB Nexus 6p and sold my Galaxy 6 edge and don't regret it. Stock marshmallow with the hardware of the 6p is unmatched performance.

Not really, but these are a good work around.

The usb-c version is coming out in December

*note- the micro usb version with a usb c adapter did not work on my 6p, but the new usb c version supposedly has been tested and verified to work

I have the nexus 5 and 5x. My wife has the Nexus 6. I love all of the phones however I have a very odd problem with my 5x. I had to set a static IP on my home wifi. Before i did, every time I'd connect my phone to my router, the router would be unresponsive periodically. It took me a while to figure out it was my phone causing the issue b/c the problem would only happen once every couple of hours. At first I just thought the issue was related to updating the router firmware. My home router is an Asus and I replaced it with an identical model... same issue. After realizing the issue only happened when my phone was connected, I did some digging. I finally found some suggestion deep in a google forum to try a static IP and I haven't had any problems since. I have a Linksys I plan to install soon and test. Hopefully it's just an issue between the phone and something on the Asus router's latest firmware.
