I just did the new update and unlocking screen is a pain with thumbprint ID. It takes two clicks or touches to unlock vs one before. Am I failing at technology or what?

nope, it sucks. thumbprint unlocks it and you still have to push the home button after. was much easier before

You can change that option to be like it used to be. I hated having to click home button twice. I just click it and hold my thumb on the home key like before and it opens.

The option is in accessibility-home button. Rest finger to open

This update sucks arse. I keep having to reboot my phone bc it won't acknowledge my passcode at all. When I use the finger scanner, none of my apps open when touching. Can't swipe to access other pages. Can only use the home button to get to home screen. This update blows. Nothing Apple does is effective only frustrating.

Works great on my 6s. Just press the home button once and it opens it right up.

Try joining the public beta and getting iOS 10.1 if you are having trouble with 10. Been running 10.1 for awhile and it's been great. Better battery life and very stable.
