New Google Now Update coming...

Google is rolling out an update to the Google Search app to enable the "always listening" feature across Android phones. No longer will this feature be unique to the Moto X and it's siblings, the Verizon Droid line of phones. This will provide the option to enable the feature within the settings to provide access to the Google Now features from any screen with a spoken, "OK Google" hot word. Will be rolling out via the Play Store. Sorry, can't provide a link but for anyone interested should be easy enough to find.

Been using it on my Nexus 5 since I got it last year, it's fine. Uninstalled Google Now a long time ago though.

I think everyone is misunderstanding OP.
The "new" part is that Now is always listening. As in, the old version was always listening when you were on a home screen. The new version will be listening when you are in any app, even the lockscreen.

Cool feature, but I rarely use it. I feel like a dumbass talking to my phone in front of people.

I do it in the car and at home. I try not to in public haha
Google Now is so much better than siri for understanding me.

I installed it, but there is someone else in my office so I haven't tried it yet hahaha
