Need Help With SSD Selection

I'm trying to decide between the two SSDs linked below. I'm also open to other suggestions provided they are of similar capacity and price. The drive will be used to host the OS of a HTPC.
Crucial MX100
Samsung 840 EVO
Crucial MX100
Samsung 840 EVO

I actually just bought the Crucial M550 the other day. I think it's a bit newer than the one you linked and should perform a bit better for not much extra cost. I haven't had any issues with the Crucial in the week or so I've had it and it takes me all of 15-20 seconds to restart windows 7 now which includes having to enter a password I'm still not 100% used to.

ILike's commentary on SSD
He's got much more info than this, but this was his most recent post on the subject.

Get the MX100 over the EVO for two reasons:
1. It's cheaper, and in an HTPC you aren't going to notice a speed difference despite the Samsung being a little faster
2. You'll probably have to update the Samsung's firmware to fix the bug, so why go through the extra work for an SSD that costs more and is only going to be used for an HTPC
EDIT: But either way, both of those are excellent choices. I wouldn't think too hard about it.

Thanks. I was leaning toward the MX100 for the reasons you stated, so thanks for validating.
