The HDMI outputs and inputs on my HK receiver stopped working this weekend (my neighbor had the same model do the same thing about a year ago). My house is wired for a 5 channel set up and I really don't plan to go to a 7 channel. I do have a set of out door speakers I occasionally use, but I have a switch bank I purchased to turn them off and on.

I do have a 4k tv, blue ray player, and cable TY I'd like to all integrate into one receiver. I do not need Bluetooth or wireless speakers. What is a basic 5 channel receiver you recommend?

I have the Definitive Technology ProCinema 600 5.1 from BestBuy. I like it well enough. I'm sure there's much better out there but for 800$ it gets you everything.

ETA: DERP, you said receiver. I misread your post.

No interest in having the one AVR do the 5.1 and your outdoor zone ?

I have the 656 with no issues. Works like a champ.
