Moving back to BR and seeking opinions on best services around town.

I would like to hear the O-T's thoughts and opinions on the best internet/cable providers in BR and the best security monitoring service in town.
I hear so many mixed reviews on all. Capped internet is not an option...

Cox has the fastest. It could be on where your service location is. I've never had any slow downs on mine, but maybe I'm close to a node? And the internet rarely goes out (like maybe twice last year for a total of only an hour or two?). Now, they're just as evil as every other cable-TV and internet provider when it comes to service and billing. They also aren't the cheapest option.
But looking for uncapped internet? That's not going to happen. However, right now Cox just sends you an email letting you know that you are close or have gone over your limit. If you go over it multiple times they will try to upgrade you to a higher tier or force you over to a business service (same lines, just a higher price).
plan - data cap - down/up speeds
Starter - 150 GB - 5 Mbps / 1 Mbps
Essential - 250 GB - 15 Mbps / 2 Mbps
Preferred - 350 GB - 50 Mbps / 5 Mbps
Premier - 700 GB - 100 Mbps / 10 Mbps
Ultimate - 2000 GB - 200 Mbps / 20 Mbps
Gigablast - 2000 GB - 1 Gbps / 1 Gbps

I decided on giving UVerse a chance. They cap at 250 but the guy and his manager assured me that as long as I wasn't doing anything "illegal" they wouldn't come after me.

I have the second highest cox package locked in for $60 for two years. No contract on that, and they offered.
I never heard of them enforcing a data cap, but I did get the email one time that I had exceeded their allowed limit. But it doesn't seem they do anything to your connection when that happens.

That was my first thought, but then I saw where he is "from Alexandria".

Alexandria has internet? You'd think he'd be happy with anything in BR
