Is this a good deal?

2.4 Ghz Intel core duo, 4 GB, OSX 10.9.5

This MacBook Pro has been heavily used. It needs a completely new power cable. It works fine but is just slow starting up. I have been periodically running disk doctor on it to clean it up. It should speed up substantially when I wipe it for sale. Comes with Apple earbuds and microfiber cloth. Price is certainly negotiable.

Probably if it isn't beat to shite. I got an SSD and a new battery put in mine (after maxing out ram) for under 300 bucks and it purrs. Not sure if that's a smart investment or not (should have done it myself but I'm lazy), but it's worked for me.

Probably means you can get it for a little south of $150.

So, I take that as a yes. I'll offer him $150. I just didn't know if it was too hard to fix. If I just wipe it should that do it?

I passed. I have a decent desktop at home and a good work laptop, but they are getting stricter and stricter about personal use on the laptop and it's just annoying.
