My wife just "uploaded" photos to her MAC. Nothing is in the folders that were created and they are no longer on the memory card. Any ideas where they may have hopefully defaulted to instead? Any ideas would be appreciated. They were of my 2 & 5 year olds birthday parties.

ouch... dunno. i learned the "delete from source after copy" option is generally a bad idea after this happened to me once or twice.

I haven't used MacOS in ages, but you should be able to do some kind of search for .jpg or .jpeg files within a specific date range.

did she import them into iPhoto? or just copy them onto the file system? iPhoto uses an internal database model, so you're aren't going to see a bunch of files that mimic what was on the memory stick...

How did they get off the memory stick? Did she hit delete?

If she put them in iPhoto, then just open the app and click on last imported.

Apple user here, but I can't stand how clunky file management can be in OSX.

I'd try what corchangingtiger said first.

When she clicks the date that would be representative of the "upload", there is nothing there. She brought it into our local mom/Pop store that specializes in Mac. Maybe they can solve the problem.

Regarding where they went on the memory stick. Not sure but she likely chose to delete them. Although she usually keeps items on the memory card for years.
