So I smashed my 920 yesterday. New screen is not worth it, so just getting a new one until the 10s come out. I suspect contacts and photos will be easy with transfer my data, but what about music/videos? How do I get all the music from old to new? Am I going to have to do it one song at a time?

Throw it all on an SD card. Can't remember if the 920 has expandable memory though.... I just did a hard reset on my 1520, pulled the memory card first and afterwards when I opened music it synced it. I have Windows 10 Insider Preview, but it shouldn't make a difference.

No expandable. Can I some how send it all to a desktop then from desktop to new phone? Sorry if that's a dumb question.

Windows 8 should ask you what you want do when you connect. If not, Just copy and paste the files you want like it was a flash drive.

I assume you can hook a the micro usb to usb to your computer and move and files over then back to the new phone.

I might not have to do that. I just found this AT&T transfer app. It claims music can be transferred with is as well. I'll find out in a few days.
