I'm looking to make a website that is free with a design similar to this. LINK I want flexibility to play around with the layout and various sections.
Any suggestions? I looked into godaddy but I rather not have to pay each month to keep the rights. Maybe wordpress?

Wordpress + Themeforest. You're welcome.

Wasn't there a couple of TD via OT folks who came up with their own website? Might try them, however, don't think it worked out too well.

Just because you post here doesn't mean you can't make your own website you idiot.

Wat
Pretty sure the only thing you pay GoDaddy for is for the domain name and to host the content. You're not giving them the rights to the content. You're simply paying them to host your website on their servers so you don't have to stand one up in a closet at your house. I use them for a couple of websites and I am happy with them so far. Prices were fair relative to the other places I looked at. If you wanted to go super pro, I suppose you could get a VPS on Digital Ocean or AWS or something and really build your site from scratch. I'll eventually do that, I just don't have the time right now.

Sitebuilder
It's web based, relatively cheap, and easy as hell

Totally free options are always very limited and usually include advertising. Server space costs. It would probably be best to pay a few dollars per month for some hosting.
