Looking to get a new phone.

I am looking at the Galaxy S8+ , Iphone 7 Plus and the Iphone 6 Plus.
Would it be foolish to buy a 6 Plus with technology that is over 2 years old?

Depends on what you want. My S8+ is great. If you don't care about latest and greatest, older phones work just fine.

The iPhone 6 has half the ram that the 6s/7 have. I would stay away from it.

It doesn't have to be the latest and greatest. One of the biggest things for me is that I really want a phone with a regular jack for headphones. I have heard bad things about that lightning adapter with the new I phones. Another concern is moving over to android. All I have ever owned is the iphone.

My S8 is the best phone I've ever had. That being said I had to download BK disabler to disable bloatware. Once I did that, aside from a couple of bugs it's been great. My last phone was a nexus 6P, a very good phone.
If you don't want to go new get on swappa and find a one plus 3T.

I really need a new phone because my 6+ is on its last leg. Problem is I just dont see any features on the new phones that seem worth paying the premium.

I have an S8+. I traded my friend my Nexus 6P for it. I'm glad I did.

apps randomly close, which it has done from the start. it eats up the storage and is constantly in a state of running out of storage. it also started popping up for me to log into itunes repeatedly thru the day. basically it has turned into a huge piece of shite.

Well the rumored iPhone 8 is expected to have an edge-to-edge display in a substantial redesign with wireless charging and some other shite.
But, it'll probably be about 900 bucks, so it may not be worth considering.
I'm going to move on from a 6P in the next few months. I won't try Samsung again, so I'm likely going iPhone. If I was going to stay with Android, I'd look at the OnePlus and Essential phone (although I think it's Sprint tied)
