There are several online options such as Legacybox.com and several local services in the Baton Rouge area. Anyone have any experience with this and/or recommendation for someone to use?

I'm having the same issue with my Journey 8-tracks. Need to convert them to CD.

related question; my huge collection of Hi8 and digital8 tapes of my kids when they were young-uns is aging and deteriorating.
can anyone recommend a good solution to convert these to digital files? i see the groupons and at one time i was going to DIY with a firewire cable and my old sony camcorder but that doesn't work; i think the camera is jacked so i'm looking for a good service to convert them.
