What is The easiest way to reset my phone to factory settings without losing my contacts?
I think too much reddit gone wild got me infukted.

If there is a way to back up contacts and not lose them what are the steps I need to take?

you contacts should automatically be backed up to your Google account unless you unchecked that option

Nothing.. And I mean NOTHING lives on my phone.

Everything is cloud based so at worst I flash a new rom and have to turn off vibration mode and reenter my login info on a few apps.

Google even restores all my 3rd party apps automatically

Yes. Good point. I do lose the SMS conversations but retain hangouts

for a few hours I used Hangouts at my default SMS to test it out. I normally use Textra. I checked "Receive SMS and Voicemail in Hangouts" in Google Voice and it saved the SMS in Hangouts for that period of time.

I'm honestly not sure if it backs SMS or not. About time to factory reset my phone again anyway so I'll see what happens
