Laptop getting blue screen restarts

I have an HP laptop, couple years old, not too much on it. I keep getting a frozen screen and then the computer restarts. I use Windows 10. Anyone have any constructive suggestions outside of throwing it away?

Have you added any new hardware recently? When the machine blue screens it creates a file. This file should help you locate the issue. Its usually located in C:\Windows\Mindump dir. Here is a link on how to load this file.

go to windows updates and make sure all updates are current.
then go to device manager and update your display driver.
windows 10 has a weird re-boot issue that based on older display drivers.
not saying this is your issue but i've seen this fix work on a bunch of pc's with the same blue screen/reboot issue

I was having similar issues until I updated some outdated drivers.

Do you get to see what the blue screen says or does it restart too fast?
