Kit Kat 4.4.4 OTA Update, what does it fix?

Google pushed this to my phone today and I have been able to find a change log to know what's in it. Also wondering what was so broken that they felt the need to push an update 2 weeks after the last one?

First one for me in 6 months on my S3. Only changes I see so far is that they removed my "settings" shortcut, changed the way emoticons are accessed in text messages and some of my apps seem to be running a little faster/cleaner.
