Is there a way to record video streaming online content to my personal computer?

I paid for a subscription for something and due to work and family obligations I haven't had a chance to watch it in its entirety and now time is running out.

Is there a way I can let it play the entire stream and record it some kind of way so I can go back and watch it later without having to renew the subscription?

The subscription was for a training class that I signed up for. The lectures are streamed online.

Honestly, the software needed to record your screen at a decent quality would probably be more expensive than renewing the subscription; although you haven't given any specifics so I have no clue how much the subscription costs.

Damn, invested a lot of cash on a webcam chick, huh?

Snagit, Camtasia, etc. - you can easily find "liberated" versions of them out there. Whether or not your computer's gonna catch something nasty or not can be a crap shoot. I've never had luck with any of the "free" or open source ones.

PlayLayer works great for Netflix, Hulu, ect, but it is a subscription also.

I bought one of these about 8 years ago for my PC with windows XP.
LINK

Its worked great for getting cable TV on my PC and the Media Center software records shows great. About to upgrade computers and been wondering if there is anything like it for Windows 10.

Got it off Woot 8 years ago for $20 one of the best buys I ever made.

This. And after the trial period runs out all you have to do is change your computer's date back.

A friend told me this, his subscription to barely legal ginger midget porn was running out too.
