Anyone ever have a problem where they do not get any signal and it only says "searching" at top left? I can get on WiFi. My phone worked fine when I went to bed. Woke up to it saying 1x. Never came back to normal. I did soft reset and now only says "searching". What should I try?

Tower could be down around your home, but that is highly unlikely.

Did your phone have an update overnight?

I've seen it fall off LTE and go to 3G or 1x before. Usually turning on airplane mode then turning it off will get it to connect to LTE again. If that doesn't work maybe pull the sim and reinsert it.

Pulling the SIM worked. I have seen this before as well. Usually corrects itself. Never has Searching for hours like it did this morning. I was worried Apple zapped it and i would have to get a new phone. That has happened to me a couple times. Just randomly stop working.

I had that problem on ATT with my iPhone 7+. I eventually had to send it back to Apple and they sent me a new one. ATT and Apple were both unable to make it find a tower. It was intermittent for months. It would stop being able to find a tower for 10-60 minutes at a stretch. But it was random. Once or twice a month that I'd notice. It eventually just stopped finding a tower period.
