Recently my wife's iPhone and iPad have started redirecting her to various porn/dating/candy-crush-clone sites/apps. She looks up recipes, news, and stuff on sites like ana-white.com. It happens using the Twitter/Facebook/Pinterest apps and Safari. All of the sites that I've seen that are redirecting her have ad banners.

If I turn off javascript, it resolves the problem but it makes some sites unusable. I restored her phone to an older backup, changed her Ads Identifier, and cleared all settings/browser history/cookies. I'm at a loss.

Has anyone experienced this and did you find a solution? I haven't seen my wife this upset since the time she went to dicks.com trying to look up something at Dick's Sporting Goods...

I don't know what to tell you, other than this is hilarious.

And don't judge me (especially considering all the gay talk right now), but I tried dicks.com and it actually does take you to Dick's Sporting Goods!

Oh, well that's good! It was just a few years ago she went there and I heard a loud scream from the other room. I ran in there thinking she cut herself or something more life threatening... nope just a bunch of penises

I worked on this for a while last night. I think someone jacked my router because it had VPN enabled and some weird users set up. I reset it to factory default and everything but still having some issues. I feel like burning all my electronics! Why do people do this? Grrr...
