Galaxy s7....

I have been looking for a way to use my unlimited data on my phone. The hotspot function only allows me to use 5 gigs of that.

However, once I reach the 5 gigs, it throttles the hotspot only. The phone works just fine.

So it's got to be a way around that. Anybody know?

I have. Even paid the onetime feed. So far no luck.

I can watch slingtv, youtube..etc no issues. No buffering. But the hotpot is capped.

I use the Pdanet + Foxfi app carrier is Verizon
Works great use it as a wifi hotspot, you may have to
lock the screen with a pin or password then after i have the wifi hotspot going, i go to security and clear
credentials and then change lock screen back to swipe.

You have to root your phone which you may or may not be able to do an S7. Get a phone that's easy to root if you really need this to work. I rooted my Moto G4 with unlimited plan and the hotspot works now.

You don't have to tout a g4 to get the hotspot to work. Mine just worked. Foxfi wouldn't work with the version of Android, and I was about to return the phone. But I clicked found the hotspot shortcut, and clicked on it for the hell of it, and it ended up working.
