HTC phones - I've had a few samsung phones

and never really had any issues with them. But, everything I've read about HTC phones says they're really good devices. I know the company has had their issues, but there are still some loyal htc people out there. Just want to get some feed back from some of you. I'm thinking about getting a new phone, and I'm leaning toward trying htc. Thoughts?

I hear the HTC 10 is one of the best phones out there.

I had an M7 and an M9, both were disappointments.
The M7 would randomly turn off wifi or mobile data.
The GPS constantly disconnects in the M9 and ATT/HTC never updated it to the next generation Android OS, even though all other flagships were updated.
FWIW, I've also had some quality issues with samsung (S3 and S5), so I'm conflicted on where to go next.

I have a Galaxy S7 Edge, but I wanted the HTC 10 if AT&T would have carried it. I can't speak for the 10, but my HTC M8 had front-facing speakers, which I loved. Watching youtube and such is annoying on the Galaxy with the speaker on the bottom of the phone near where I put my hands.

In case you didn't know, the Google Pixels are made by HTC as well.

Try the Huawei. Mate 9 or maybe the 6x

My oneplus screen shattered last week. I don't want to run out and buy a new phone right now with some of the new releases coming out in the next few months. Plugged my sim into my old M7 and it still runs like a champ.

Still using my HTC One M8. It's been a great phone and still works fine. I've had no real reason to replace it so far as it got upgraded to Marshmallow last year. However, it officially won't get Nougat so I will probably start looking for a phone.
My last 2 phones have been HTC as I prefer the metal construction to plastic. I never use a case and my M8 has held up very well over the years.
The initial reviews of the HTC U Ultra haven't been great when compared to other flagship phones coming out this year. Though it appears to be a solid phone. The blue model looks stunning.
Alot of people consider the Google Pixel the current best Android smartphone and it's made by HTC. Though Google would have you believe otherwise.

Had 2 HTC phones in the past. Last one was the One. All OK except for 2 main problems:
1. Battery life absolutely was terrible. Wouldn't make it a half day before empty.
2. Camera burned out or something and many photos had this purplish tint. It was a known issue to HTC phones at the time.

Google Pixel. Made by HTC. Best Android phone currently available. Check reviews.

I think people are reporting a pinkish tint on the HTC 10 but that it's hardly noticeable.

My HTC One I got about 4 years ago. It was clearly noticeable. Maybe on a bright sunshiny day , it was less obvious, but any inside photo taken was completely useless due to the purple tones.
I had read something about a wire inside the phone would overheat over time and it caused the purple tones on many photos. nothing could be done about it. However, I have not bothered keeping up with it over the past 3 years with a new Samsung. I did like the phone otherwise. (except for the battery life)

Software wise, HTC is hands down the best. Their sense interface is smooth and very functional.
Having said that, HTC does have a history of poor radio performance (3G/4G/Wi-Fi). Either you get worse signal than apple/Samsung, worse data input/output, or random unexplained signal drops.

Since no one else has...Motorola. Their entire lineup is rock solid from the Z series down to the budget models. The Pixel is a great phone as well but the Moto features on the top tier is just too much for me to give up. I've used Moto for years and never had a single hiccup and so far, every new version gets better still. If you happen to be a Verizon customer, the Moto Z Force is a beast.
