I had some burn in while leaving the news on the Baton Rouge police shootings. Is there any way to fix this?

usually you can download an image or video that you let run for a couple of hours to resolve it.

with LCDs i think its called 'image retention' and its almost always temporary. burn-in only affects plasmas.

Samsung LCDs usually have a mode thatll scroll a bar to fix it. Mine has it in the menu.

I had image-retention happen to my Viera, it was only slight but went away. Burn-in in this today's world is very rare.

Image retention goes away with regular tv use.
