How log before the Fire HD 8 6th gen can be rooted.

Only thing that pops up in a google is 5th gen. I need the play store asap to use this thing properly.

like i said. XDA doesnt have a foot for the new 8 6th gen as far as i can see.

I hadn't thought I would want to install the Play Store, but the Amazon "Appstore" is missing one of the two apps I need to be able to run for work. (It used to be on Amazon, but is no longer supported.)

General impressions of the tablet: It's light enough, feels solid (but a little cheap), and has a display that is completely adequate for the price. I'm a teacher and I'm using it at school with my students and it's great for that. Good screen size.
