Hot tubs - that's tech-esque, right?

The wife and I are thinking about getting a hot tub installed so we can soak our aging bones. I checked Costco and then went to a few dealers who specialize in single brands (e.g. Hot Spring) and now am thoroughly bewildered.

Anyone have any insight? I'm looking for a 6-person plus. Depending on the model, they say you have to run 240V (which would require an installation of that also. Saltwater or no? Which construction materials? etc.

TIA

honestly, just get this and decide after 6 months if you are still interested.

save yourself a butt-ton of money. we have one and i like it but it makes me happy i don't have to deal with a real one.

LINK

Its $300, you have nothing to lose.

You don't like it? Unplug it, let the water out & roll it up into the case and stick it in the garage.

seriously, i have this in my screened porch room and its sweet as hell to be able to put it away when i dont want the damn thing out and hassle with chlorine, running the damn heater 24/7, etc.

An inflatable hot tub. That's the coolest trashy thing I've seen in a while.

I'm not listening to you. A year from now this will be on your list of suggestions you were a fool in making. Just like my WDTV live and Windows home server.

There are like two days of winter here. Who the F needs a hot tub. Stay your arse inside with the heater or sit in your bathtub and close your eyes

Do you even workout? Plenty of times after working outside I jump in to soak my muscles.

Thanks, I've considered that.

Any opinion on (for a real one) if salt water is as relevant a consideration as for a pool?
