I am looking for a new entertainment system. I don't even have a receiver at the moment, so I am starting from scratch. I have had bad experiences with out of the box systems, and I would like to avoid them. I am looking for something very user friendly that has wi-fi or bluetooth speakers to minimize wires around my living room.

After looking around, I thought the Sonos system would be perfect. Start with the Playbar and Bridge, and eventually get the Sub and 2 Play:1s. Would y'all recommend something else? I want to be able to stream music (primarily Spotify) from my iPad or iPhone, as well as get stereo sound for my TV. Eventually, I want to be able to widen the system to play music around the house, and so I don't want to sink money into a system that won't accommodate that. Is there something cheaper than Sonos?

TIA

You have to get a paid subscription to use spotify through sonos--I think it is around $10/month. Others are free such as pandora, 8tracks, aupeo, etc

That's reasonable.

If your're looking for a solid A/V receiver, I am selling mine. It's a Denon AVR-2313CI that has networking capabilities and AirPlay. Also can stream Pandora, Internet Radio, etc.

Looks good, works great.
