Hep me please

When I email a pic from my phone to my computer it comes as some sort of icon, I can open it up and view the pic, but when I upload to tinypics to post it here I only get the icon, it won't open. TIA.

Are you saving it to your computer or trying to upload directly from your email?

I've saved it to documents first and am trying to upload it from there, but all I get is the "icon."

Most likely there is no file extension to tell Windows what to open it with.
Once you have saved the picture to your computer
1) Open its location (Windows Explorer)
2) Right click the picture file (assuming Windows)
3) Choose "Open with >" and select "Picture Viewer" or "Paint" (You may have to browse to find one of these choices)
If this works, give it the extension of (best guess) .jpg

that was a pic that uploaded properly, I did the same to the "icon" and it showed up as the icon
