Help with wired router connections issue

I have an Asus RT-N56U. My devices that are connected wireless are working fine, however my devices that are connected by wire are not getting the internet connection. I use 192.168.0 for my IP addressed, but when I run ipconfig /all on my desktop it is showing a 169.254 ipaddress. Other items that are connected wired include a MyQ adapter and an ObiTalk adapter that are not working. It makes me think it's either a setting on the router that got changed, or the router is going out. Any ideas?

are the lights flashing on the back of the router for the ethernet ports?
eta can you screenshot the router page that shows the hard-wired devices?
GO to TOOLS, then see below. i'll post mine as an example:

could definitely have some ports going dead on the router if you have multiple wired items not working but the wireless does. Do you have any open ports to try and switch something to in order to find out if they're all dead?
Could always try resetting the router to factory defaults and see if that does something if you're worried something could have gotten changed, but I highly doubt that's the case...can you access the router from one of the wired devices? (192.168.1.1)?

I don't see anything exactly like that. Let me know if this helps.

when is the last time you updated your router firmware?

I'll give that a try later tonight.

Probably a while ago. I'll do that now.

I tried doing that on my desktop, and it didn't help. I don't think I can set it on some of my other devices that are wired.

You can try ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew but considering you have multiple wired items having the same issue and your PC is getting the 169 addy, most likely your router isn't handing out addresses through DHCP at all.
If you can get into your router's settings check to make sure you do have DHCP turned on and don't have MAC addressing turned on.
How long has it been since the router has been rebooted (they can run for months with no problems, but every now and then they just have to get rebooted).

I updated the firmware, and when I did, the router went back to factory settings. I'm still having the same issue with wireless working, but wired is not. DHCP is turned on. I tried wiring a laptop to each of the 4 LAN ports, and still nothing.

Well that sucks and was a happy accident at the same time as you know the router settings aren't wrong if it reset the router during the update.
I'm drawing a blank now.. You said you can see the LEDs on the Ethernet ports flashing? I think color is different depending on if it's 1000 vs 100 speed.
Eta call Asus. Maybe they'll simply swap it for you particularly since this is starting to seen hardware related. The fact you only used their firmware is in your favor.

CAD - Do you have the T-Mobile version of the AC68U? If so, can it be used without the T-Mobile service, or would that cause problems?

i think so but tmo requires you to mail it back if you no longer have service through them right?

Not sure, there are some on Amazon, so I wanted to ask you about it. Did you install the Merlin firmware on it?

you can only flash merlin on the earlier tmo 68 asus routers. the newer ones shipped with custom firmware that blocks you from doing that.
merlin doesn't (or he used to not) support the TM router with his builds.
where are these on amazon? interesting they are selling the tmo-versions.
