We're moving into a new house that has a sitting wall patio already built. It is square in shape between two sides of the house, so my thought was to mount a TV on one wall in the corner with a swivel mount to pull out, facing the rest of the patio.

No experience with this. Any tips for how you'd do this in a simple, cost effective way? Assuming the setup for the TV doesn't set off any red flags, any thoughts about getting content to it? Obviously I could probably use Chromecast or something for streaming, but would it just be simpler to use a Uverse wireless box or something similar?

Running wires and mounting a bracket mount

Very easy if you know what you are doing

when I did one similar to the setup you are talking about at my house, I ran the coax cable and electrical myself. Really easy to do. My father in law uses the wireless box from Uverse and it works great. (I would still run one though).

I got a rocketfish mount from Ebay and it came with all the hardware to mount it to any surface.

I did this too, but the new cable boxes don't have coax out, so I need to run home now. It was easier when renovating than it is now.

I never miss an opportunity to pimp my cheap setup

cad outdoor tv project

It doesn't get much cheaper. With Chromecast I find I rarely even connect the hdmi from dish most of the time.

Too bad I'm moving.
