Installing a TV outside in a courtyard. Mainly for grilling, and social entertainment.

Anyone have any experience with a HDMI wireless transmitter. I have Direct TV.

You can buy them in the store at Best Buy so you can try it to see if it works if it doesn't just return them

I bought an Actiontec transmitter from Best Buy, works really well even through walls. If you go this route, BB will price match Amazon.

I use the IOGear wireless HDMI kit. Works great, never had an issue with it. I only use it indoors but I feel confident that it will work fine the way you intend.

That is actually the one I was looking at buying. The distance should be about 20 foot or less, but through an insulated brick wall.

I use the one at best buy. Works great for one TV.

I'd like to buy an additional receiver for another TV to keep holes out my walls, but I am not sure if they support that feature.

We have an IOGear 5x2 matrix in the Motorhome. Works well. Have been using it about a year.

I'd imagine you could hook up an HDMI splitter and have it sent to two different tvs

I need to come to this board more often...didn't even know these existed.

In having major trouble running a new cable through my wall to the TV above the fireplace, does the transmitter generate a good quality feed?

I bought one of these on a whim a couple weeks ago. I set it up, but haven't had time to play with it yet. How do I change the channels? I have it running on my porch TV from my bedroom TV. Can I only change the channel via my bedroom TV?

Why wouldn't you just use one of the wireless boxes from Direct TV?
