Have to send an iphone 6 back

So, the screen went out and a new one was sent to my wife by the insurance company. Now we have to send the broken one back. However, they say we need to wipe the phone but without being able to see what we are doing that will be tough. Is there a way to wipe a phone through itunes? TIA.

Was find my phone enabled? If so log in to icloud.com and you can do it from there.

You can do a restore through iTunes and set it up as new.

So, open the phone in itunes and then restore to factory settings?

Had to do the same but the phone wouldn't power on due to water damage
