Hacking a Fitbit charge

I got one for Christmas and I like how it buzzes when I get a phone call and gives me called ID. I know some of the higher versions allow text notifications as well. Is there a way to hack into this and have an alert for a text message?

I think you can do this in the settings through the phone app? I might be wrong though.

It is the charge. Not the charge HR or the Surge. I think one or both of those allow it in the app. This one does not. I think it may just be the surge that does text notifications.
