For those with media rooms, what color is your walls?

I have a game room that im turning into a media room.
The carpet in there is a dark blue/grey and looks good, but the walls are a dark beige.
Im wanting to paint the walls and ceiling a dark grey or brown.
What color is your room and is it worth it to do the ceiling?

Why not just treat the surfaces to deaden them. At least frame some absorption on the walls. I'd do the ceiling too.

Dark grey or some form of red is usually what I see in newer construction these days. It's all preference really.

What kind of speakers and sub are you running? Impressive setup.

The main fronts are Focal Utopias and the sub is an SVS Ultra SB16.
The center channel is an SVS Ultra Center.
The 2 rears (side) are in wall Difinitive Technology DI 6.5 LCR
I am only doing 5.1

Sherwin Williams rainstorm with burgundy drapes. I painted the ceiling and think it makes a huge difference.

Don't know just yet as the projector arrives Friday. However, the main remote has a button that, when pressed, will kill all the meter lights, but keep the dim green logos lit.
The blue meter lights "on" weren't a problem when I had it all set up in the den, but it does get dark when you kill them all.

That little cut out is a 5'x7' room that houses my workbench and electronics tools--the door is for the cat--his crapper will go in there. I have a couple motion activated ventilation fans mounted in the ceiling in that small room to go off for 15 minutes after he craps.
