It still comes with a year of Prime so if you're looking for a phone with decent specs for cheap you're basically paying $99 for the Fire Phone now.

Amazon is sitting on a lot of inventory since the phone didn't sell worth a crap. Looks like they are just dumping them now.

and youd still be a dumbass to take this deal.

if youre interested in prime just buy it for 2 years

2 years prime > 1 year prime, 1 fire phone

Yep. I was really interested in this phone when it came out. I still use my 3 year old Amazon Fire tablet, and love everything Amazon. I was in the middle of a two year contract on Verizon with my iPhone 5c and figured I would wait another year and see if the Fire phone was worth anything. I also didn't want to switch to AT&T. Been there and done that with my first iPhone when that was all you could get them on.

I really think that was their biggest mistake with this. It took Apple a couple of years to figure out that most people want choice of carrier. If this had come out widely available at $99 and $199 on contract for the 32gb and 64gb it might have done a little better if you could have got it on Verizon.

Apple always knew that people want a choice of carrier. It takes time to build relationships, negotiate deals, build a user base, etc. Things that Motorola, Nokia, and Blackberry had been nurturing for years. You can't become a phone manufacturer and put it on every network in the world on launch day.

I like my Fire Phone. I sideload all that I need, and I'm really looking forward to using this with the Fire Stick
