Qi charging is more convenient and you don't have the wear & tear associated with (some) phone connectors/charging cord connectors. Can't tell you how many iPhone 4s cords my wife has been through. Additionally, many of the Qi chargers double as a vertical or semi-vertical dock if you wish to use it as a night clock or, be able to see it while charging - all of the Daydream options are available when charging.

Own it and love it.
EDIT: But damn, the price has skyrocketed on Amazon. Nearly $70. I paid $50 for mine and I still overpaid. Apparently it is known to go on sale for $30 or less.
The Mikobox seems pretty similar and is $25.

I'd ordered a Tylt direct sometime back for $35 & free delivery. They oversold on the special & was considering whether to cancel my (very late) delivery. It just popped in without any ship notice so Tylt it is. On an initial test, works beautifully.
