Chrome won't open in two separate computers

Both my work laptop and desktop at home run Windows 7. Somehow, in the last week Chrome has changed and now it won't open.
The cursor indicates briefly that it will run, but nothing happens. No new window or anything.
Has anyone else started experiencing chrome completely neglecting to do anything when the icon is clicked?
Any fix for this?

Same here, running Chrome on three Windows machines without problems.

Thanks for the responses.
I tried rebooting the machine (of course) and uninstalling/reinstalling to no avail.
I guess I was wondering if it was a more widespread problem since both of my windows 7 machines flaked out within 4 days of each other.

No problem here. Reinstall it.

If they still won't work with a reinstall, then how about running a malewarebytes scan.
Other than a bug blocking it or crashing it, I have no clue what the problem could be. Of course that probably isn't it either because it won't work on multiple machines and that would be odd to be infected on two machines.
I got nothing. Stumped.
You must have some program on both machines that somehow now conflicts with chrome. No clue.

While it very well could be malware, the first thing that came to my mind was anti virus software that had a bad update. After the OP runs malware and virus scans he should try disabling his anti virus software while he launches chrome.

If you right click and open incognito window, will it open?

Maybe try removing Chrome with Revo Uninstaller. It will clear out all the leftover pieces in the registry and file system. Then you could get a truly fresh re-installation..
