one way to do it is find an address in the area you want the locls from and call up and ask to change your physical address.

the main issue with this is that you have to make sure that the spot beam that those locals are on will have to also cover your area. You can search around and find spot beam maps and then see.

I used to do this to get saints preseason games. I would caqll and give them an address to a mcdonalds in houma and tell them that my camp was at this address and that i would be staying their with my receiver for a few weeks.

You need to "move" to a location where you want the local channels. I have done it several times. Just remember to "move" back if you have service on the equipment. Phone call takes 2 minutes and they don't care!

15 or so years ago when baton rouge didn't have local channels on DirecTV and the locals wouldn't let you have a waiver saying you could get the East coast and West coast feeds of the broadcast channels I found somewhere that would give the waiver (Denver) and called DirecTV I was living there for a few months.
