Go..

What fronts do you have? They should somewhat match. Example I have all paradigm fronts and center.

The one that's the same make and series as the L + R speakers.

I have in ceiling speakers and the tech guy recommended not to put an inceiling center channel because ceilings are 12'.
He recommended a Polk center channel sold on Amazon, just gauging the room

At this point it really doesn't matter.

You've already commit to having your front stage in the ceiling might as well finish it off. I'm not a huge fan of in ceiling fronts but sometimes it's the only option.

Man I hope that Macintosh link is trolling.
Talk about overkill. Dude probably has a Sony receiver

I have Prestige speakers and have a 7.2 Onkyo receiver

That center will pair perfectly with his in ceiling speakers.

Not a troll, but a light hearted joke...that center has (3) 12" woofers and weighs something like 260 pounds!! I believe it retails around $40k.

Same question. I have JBL Loft L+R and surrounds.
Would like a thin/smaller center channel as it's going to sit in my mantle.

Honestly, try to match the center to the left and right.

A different question but slightly related to the topic of Center/Right/Left conversation. I have the Definitive Technology ProLogic 600 series. The subwoofer technically has inputs for the surround sound wires. However, I also have a Pioneer Elite VSX-50 receiver.
Will it sound better for my surround sound cables to be plugged in directly to my receiver (like normal)? Or would it sound better if my cables were plugged into the Subs inputs?

Pretty sure the speaker inputs on you sub are your high level inputs for the sub. You have the sub hooked you with an RCA cable right ? Keep the speakers wired to the amp.

Currently I have the Sub connected to the Receiver via 1 of the RCA plugs, yep.
Oddly enough, I believe the Procinema sub allows for the speakers to be connected to it. Think it has an internal amp, which is where my question was stemming from.

It's just a sub amp. Those speaker connections are high level inputs. You would use those if you didn't have the RCA to get the signal to the sub.

Gotcha, thanks!
Gonna hijack the thread for 2 more questions.
1) Should I upgrade the sub/center/right/left speakers from the ProCinema 600?
2) If so, what would be a good upgrade option? Or can I just slowly upgrade Center/R/L and then do sub later?
