I've tried two different antennas. Any suggestions?

CBS must purposely put out a shite signal at all of their affiliates to force people who choose to cut the cord to pay for their channels.
It's the same everywhere.

Well it's almost making me keep my Dtv. I just got Vue but if I can't watch LSU when they're on prime time CBS, it's not worth the money I would save.

I have two antennas which are designed for 40+ miles and I can't get CBS at all on either.
You will have to get one of those monster antennas to get CBS over the air.

I think it is. My Sling TV bill is $49.99. DTV was anal raping me every month.
I will get a different antenna and mount it in the attic.

It looks like CBS is a VHF channel there in Lafayette, as it is here in Houston. I have a Clearstream 2V, and I pick it up just fine. Also, an RCA Yagi picks it up a little better here as well. Mine is just mounted in my back yard at 5 feet off the ground, but I run it into an RCA preamp.
ABC and CBS are VHF here.

I'm in Broussard and have to pay the $6.99 or whatever it is for CBS all access to catch KLFY.

Make sure you have a VHF/UHF antenna. KLFY is Channel 10 (no UHF digital component) so a UHF-only antenna will not see it.
CBS has nothing to do with affiliate power ratings. When the big switch happened, lots of corporate-owned TV stations had to wait while corp got all their paperwork together. While that happened, the smaller affils snapped up the higher-power channel assignments. That Channel 15 thing in Lafayette is a blowtorch!

quote:Digital transmission over the airways is significantly different than when it was analog. Analog would bounce around, making it easier to pick up a signal, but you might get ghosting from picking up multiple signals slightly delayed from each other.

With digital, you get one shot to get it right, as it is line of sight and does not bounce around. My recommendation? Forego the attic antenna and put it up on your roof. If you live in an HOA, not a problem. Federal law supersedes any provision in your HOA restrictions, and in fact, you can extend your antenna up to 12 feet above the highest point of your home, chimney included. I had an attic antenna. It would not receive many of the new digital channels, so I put in a rooftop antenna. The HOA had a fit, until they spoke to their attorney who I suppose told them the restriction had been made null and void by the FCC Telecommunications Act of 1997.
Anyway, I put that up about 6' above the top roofline and every single channel came in clear as a bell.

This is your answer. KLFY is Channel 10
VHF-Lo --- 2 - 6 ---- 54 - 88 MHz
VHF-Hi --- 7 - 13 --- 174 - 216 MHz
UHF ------ 14 - 69 -- 470 - 806 MHz
Available Channels for 70506

Exactly what I have in my attic. I pick up everything in Lafayette and most, if not all, of BR and LC. Don't use it often at this point, have it for loss of DirecTV or potential cord cutting.

I managed to get it working at my parents house in Abbeville. You have to put it in the attic facing north. You'll need someone down stairs letting you know how the signal looks.
It's clear picture for all the big 4 networks

Yes, it's an awesome antenna! I have mine up for the same reason you have yours, but I have Dish. It never saw as much as a hiccup during Harvey. The signal was locked in and stout as an ox!
