Can I Go To Post Office & Pick Up Package Before They Attempt Delivery?

Tried calling the post office but no answer, so was hoping someone on the OT may know.
Tracking shows package is at my post office as it arrived there this morning. I assume it will make it onto the truck tomorrow.
I'd like to swing by post office and pick up this package today if possible.
Any ideas on if I can do this?

If you called during lunch hour it's no wonder, that's the busiest time.
Call again in the next half-hour, your chances are better.
