Bluetooth for vehicle

I'm looking for a way to connect my phone to truck radio via Bluetooth.. it's a Silverado but does not have radio with BT capabilities and the aux jack is shot.
What cheaper options do I have besides changing out the radio?

You could use one of these with the FM transmitter instead of AUX. Performance depends on the radio stations near you that use the same frequencies.

I'm pretty sure your only option is a bluetooth interface kit that connects to the wiring harness. They aren't cheap but they are cheaper than a new head unit.

What year is your truck?
Also, you can get a Bluetooth receiver for much less than $700. Depending on features, they're available for under $100.

If I change radio, I'd like to stay as factory looking as possible. No neon jumping screens 
All I'm looking for is to be able to play Apple Music through my radio without interference.

They make a lot of double DIN units that are customizable in appearance. A little more expensive, but still less than $200 easy.

You can go with the device linked above. I'd recommend at least checking out some receivers in the same price range. You'll get better features for the same money.

why dont you buy a factory bluetoof for a 2013 off ebay? That would be the easiest thing to do. The wiring harnesses will match up and you wont need any kind of installation kit. The only thing you would have to do if you want is get the computer flashed for the radio so when you get a call the radio and a/c will quiet down.

On some of the older ones, I know there was a procedure to unlock them, but I don't think that works on newer radios.
You'd probably have to take it to the dealer to get it unlocked. Mine did it for free on my older Sierra, but yours might charge and it could make it not worth it. Depends on the dealer. I'd definitely give them a call before you purchase a radio.

Best thing to do here is stop sitting on that damn wallet of yours and get you a new Silverado. Them 17's have lots of radio bells and whistles.

Have you checked to make sure you have the latest firmware? It is possible there has been a firmware update that allows you to do that. Just a thought.

Just get a Pioneer radio for $300. After all is said and done, it'll cost around 4 bills, and you'll have everything you want and more.
Those Bluetooth car kits are junky IMHO
Eta: Make sure you have your phone set to allow music to be played over Bluetooth. If you want a cheap OEM radio, check for used ones on car-part.com. It's basically a site full of legitimate junkyards all over the country
